Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Tru Commerce Private Limited ("Company", "we", "us"), the operator of the TruGrocery mobile application ("App"). By creating an account or placing an order you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and reside within our active delivery areas to use TruGrocery. By using the App you represent that these conditions are met.

3. Account Registration

You register using your mobile phone number, verified via a one-time password (OTP). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us immediately at support@trugrocery.in if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Placing Orders

Products displayed in the catalog are subject to availability. Prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of all applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to cancel any order due to stock unavailability, pricing errors, or other operational reasons. In such cases we will notify you and, if payment was collected, issue a full refund to your TruGrocery Wallet.

5. Delivery

Delivery is available within our serviceable localities. Delivery time windows are estimates; actual times may vary due to demand, weather, traffic, or other factors beyond our control. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

6. Payment

We currently accept the following payment methods, processed through our payment partner, Cashfree Payments:

  • UPI
  • Credit and debit cards
  • Netbanking
  • TruGrocery Wallet balance (refunds and promotional credits)

Cash on delivery is not available at this time.

7. TruGrocery Wallet

The TruGrocery Wallet is a prepaid instrument linked to your account. Wallet top-ups are non-refundable except in the event of account closure, subject to applicable law. Cashback credits earned on orders expire 90 days after the date of issue if unused.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

You may cancel an order at any time before it is dispatched for delivery. Once an order is dispatched, cancellation is not accepted. For orders cancelled before dispatch, or where a delivery issue is confirmed by our team, a refund will be credited to your TruGrocery Wallet within 24 hours.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information during registration or ordering.
  • Place orders with no genuine intent to receive delivery.
  • Abuse our refund, cancellation, or cashback policies.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or disrupt the App or its infrastructure.
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose under Indian law.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the App's availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose to the extent permitted by applicable law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the value of the order giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the App or SMS. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
